Process

How an enquiry is handled.

Plain steps, no implied promises.
  1. 1

    Submit your need or offer

Use the sourcing request, a listing enquiry or the private seller form. Each receives a reference.

  2. 2

    ProTonne reviews and clarifies

We read the details and come back to clarify the application, material and constraints.

  3. 3

    Candidates and information are considered

Available candidates, documentation and condition information are looked at against the requirement.

  4. 4

Inspections, terms and logistics — if agreed

Inspections, commercial terms and transport may be arranged where agreed and available. They are not standard.

  5. 5

    Next steps confirmed directly

Any contractual arrangement is confirmed directly between the parties, in writing.

Four different things

Equipment listing

A published description of a specific machine. Not an offer, a guarantee of availability, or a statement of safety or suitability.

Sourcing request

Your structured description of what you need. It starts a conversation; it does not commit either party.

Quotation

A written proposal for specific equipment and terms, issued directly by ProTonne when appropriate.

Agreed transaction

A transaction only exists once terms are confirmed in writing by the parties involved.

Second-hand work equipment carries legal duties that depend on location, history and intended use. No listing is a certificate of safety or conformity. Certification, warranty and inspection are not offered as standard.

Practical guides

General industry practice only. Not a machine-specific assessment, certification or legal advice.

Buying used washing plant: 6 checks

  1. Feed material. Know your grading, fines, clay and contamination before comparing plant.
  2. Required product. Define the output and spec. Stated throughput alone does not prove suitability.
  3. Wear and condition. Look at screens, pumps, liners, bearings and steelwork. Consider an inspection.
  4. Water and power. Check supply, water treatment, electrical compatibility and site limits.
  5. Scope and documents. Confirm what is included, controls, drawings, service records and missing items.
  6. Removal and installation. Agree dimensions, lifting, access, transport and who is responsible.
